Friday unveiled itself as another great night for the Bangor Camera Club members as the annual Exhibition / Club Dinner was held at the Esplanade in Bangor.
Everyone settled down to enjoy a wonderful meal excellently served up by the management and staff whom never disappoint us year on year.
The night really began when Gerry Coe gave us all a fashion parade. He was adorned in his Golden Limited Edition shirt and was greatly admired by all the ladies. As every photographer aways has a camera or camera phone at hand, it quickly turned into a photoshoot with Gerry as our glamorous model for a change. Gerry pulled out some fabulous poses and its fair to say that if this iPhone photography doesn’t work out he has another career in the fashion industry.
Gerry then fulfilled his Presidential duties of the night and together with Chairman Nigel Snell, presented and congratulated all the winners with their certificates and trophies.
This year, the Foundation members made a huge impact on the list of winners. Indeed one of our newest members Trevor Reid picked up the title of Photographer Of The Year. A wonderful achievement by Trevor, claiming placings in most of the years competitions.
May Carvill was another Foundation member to pick up 4 cups and 16 certificates much to May’s shock as Gerry had to draw breath to call out all the winning categories, indeed leaving May to catch her breathe too.
The biggest cheer of the night went to our wee Shirley Graham impromptu lead by Shirley herself when she realised she had won 2 cups in the Exhibition and rightly couldn’t contain her delight.
Other members who achieved 1st places include Foundation members Helen Fettus, Angus Gardener, Darren Brown.
Advanced members Hugh Rooney, Ray Magill, John Miskelly, Trevor Craig, Alan Hartley, Alan McMorris with Harry Watson picking up our newest trophy kindly donated by Ainley of Bangor.
